MILLING NOTICE

 

 

 

 

Starting Monday October 28, 2024, T. Miozzi Paving will begin milling Tifft Road, Laurel Lane, Grange Road and Rocky Hill Rd. The work will be done between 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. The paving crews are approximately one and half weeks out from today.

 

To help expedite this work we respectfully request that you move all vehicles off these roads.   There will be limited access to this area for the entire time Miozzi is working on these roadways. The only traffic will be for emergencies.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may create, but with your patience and cooperation we can get this work completed as quickly as possible. There will be flaggers assigned to this project.

Millions are hitting the road with only two days until Christmas. Weather could cause issue for travelers as snow is expected in parts of the Northeast today. In the West, winds and heavy rain are in the forecast for tonight.        Officials say at least two people are dead after an explosion and fire at a Philadelphia-area nursing home. The blast happened around 2:15 p.m. local time at the Silver Lake Nursing Home in Bristol. Part of the building has collapsed and several people are unaccounted for.        The U.S. has reportedly moved a large number of special-operations aircraft and troops into the Caribbean. That's according to the Wall Street Journal which cited U.S. officials and open source flight-tracking data. This comes has tensions between the U.S. and Venezuela continue to rise.        The Supreme Court is halting President Trump's plan to deploy National Guard troops to Chicago. The White House argued the troops were needed to protect ICE agents as they conduct immigration operations. Conservative Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch dissented from the opinion.        The number of teenagers using drugs and alcohol remains at historic lows following a drop in usage during the coronavirus pandemic. A survey by the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research shows 91 percent of eighth-graders and 66 percent of 12th-graders reported that they did not use marijuana, alcohol or nicotine. That marks five years in a row drug usage has remained lower than the pre-pandemic period among teens        "Avatar: Fire and Ash" is set to rule the Christmas box office. The third film in the James Cameron led franchise is projected to bring 55 to 65-million over the three-day weekend and 75 to 80-million over the four day holiday period in its second outing. Meanwhile, the comedy "Anaconda" is expected to make 20-million in its debut, while Timothee Chalamet's "Marty Supreme" is looking to make 12 to 20-million-dollars in its first weekend.
