CALLING ALL PLAYWRIGHTS!
RISE is seeking submissions of one-act plays for its Fourth Annual Skit and One Act Play Showcase (SOAPS)!
The event will be held April 24-26, 2026, at Beacon Charter High School in Woonsocket, RI.
Plays must be no longer than one hour in length. Very short works are welcome!
Submitted works should be original or if published, royalty free.
Playwrights are responsible for identifying a director or directing their own work. Playwrights/directors will be responsible for casting. Rehearsal and audition space will be available at the Beacon Charter High School. Playwrights/directors will have access to RISE’s costume, prop, and scenery stock. This event is intended to bring exposure to rising playwrights; no monetary awards or stipends are available. All accepted plays will be presented at every performance.
