KIDSFEST ENTERTAINMENT AT AUTUMNFEST

Woonsocket –   There will be a fantastic assortment of acts on the KidsFest stage at Autumnfest this year.  From bands to magicians to hula dancers, kids will love the fun on the KidsFest Stage.

Matt Lamoureux, KidsFest Entertainment Coordinator said, “KidsFest Area this year will be the best one yet! We have rethought the entire structure of the KidsFest area and performance acts to create an all new immersive KidsFest experience. Autumnfest is proud to partner the interactive experience of the KidsFest Area with local Woonsocket nonprofit, Riverzedge Arts. Bringing some interesting and engaging games, they are excited to offer a truly unique type of creative artistic experience; Participants will be able to purchase blank t-shirts which Riverzedge Arts students will then guide them to hand press a custom designed screen print image onto the shirt themselves.  KidsFest Interactive Tent returns this year with well-known characters and performers.”  The complete line up is below

Officials say Brian Cole Junior is suspected of planting the pipe bombs near the Republican and Democratic national headquarters on the eve of the January 6th Capitol riot in 2021. Attorney General Pam Bondi said the Virginia man was arrested today and the investigation is ongoing. Bondi criticized the Biden administration for, in her words, letting the case sit unsolved for years.        Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has announced the Democrats' plan for a health care vote next week. Schumer said the party will propose extending Affordable Care Act subsidies for three years and asserted that "every single Democrat will support it." Despite support from Democrats, the bill is likely to fail as Republican senators have already said income caps and other new restrictions would be needed to garner sufficient GOP support.        The Supreme Court is allowing Texas to use a new congressional district map in next year's midterm election. An emergency application was filed by Governor Greg Abbott, with the conservative majority pausing a lower court ruling that said the map was unlawful due to GOP lawmakers explicitly considering race when drawing new districts. The map was drawn in hopes of giving up to five extra Republican House seats.        A grand jury is declining to indict New York Attorney General Letitia James after being asked to look into mortgage fraud claims against her for a second time. Initial charges were thrown out ten days ago, with James previously indicted by a grand jury on one charge of bank fraud and another of making false statements to a financial institution. She has denied wrongdoing, while becoming a frequent political target of President Trump.        Google is out with the top searches of 2025. Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was the highest trending search of the year. Meanwhile, the hit Netflix animated movie "KPop Demon Hunters" came in second followed by the hot collectible Labubu dolls in third.        More adults over the age of 45 are experiencing feelings of loneliness. A new AARP study found that 40-percent of respondents said they felt lonely, which is up from 2010 and 2018 when 35-percent of respondents reported such feelings. The study found a negative correlation between loneliness and age, higher education and household income, and those who reported experiencing loneliness averaged spending more than seven hours alone per day compared to the overall 45-plus population.
