President Trump is accepting the Nobel Peace Prize from Venezuela's opposition leader. Maria Corina Machado was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize last year for promoting democratic rights in her South American country. On Thursday, Machado gave the award to President Trump, in appreciation for deposing Venezuela's former leader Nicolas Maduro.        President Trump is reportedly considering invoking the Insurrection Act to quell anti-ICE protests in Minnesota. The Insurrection Act would give Trump the authority to deploy the military to suppress a rebellion on American soil. Anti-ICE protests have increased in the Minneapolis area since the fatal shooting of a protester by an ICE agent earlier this month.        A federal judge is rejecting a Justice Department lawsuit demanding California's voter rolls. District Judge David O. Carter on Thursday called the department's request "unprecedented and illegal" and a threat to American democracy. The Justice Department has not commented on the judge's ruling.        OpenAI is investing in a brain-computer interface startup founded by its own CEO, Sam Altman. TechCrunch reports that OpenAI is the biggest investor in a 250-million dollar seed round in the company called Merge Labs. Altman's startup is competing with Elon Musk's Neuralink.        Pennsylvania police are investigating whether two local grave robberies are connected to the man known as "the Pennsylvania Ghoul." Earlier this month, investigators found over 100 human skulls and other remains in the home of Jonathan Gerlach. Now police are investigating if was connected to two crypts that were recently violated at a local cemetery.        One of the coldest NFL games in history could take place this weekend. Brutal cold temperatures are expected for the Chicago Bears' NFC Divisional Round playoff matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. The Sunday game doesn't kick off until 6:30 p.m. Eastern, and forecasters say temperatures could be hovering around minus-ten degrees.
