It's another day of intense fighting along the Gaza Strip as the Israel-Hamas war rages on. Israeli forces are moving forward with their assault on the southern part of the region. This comes as the U.S. has warned Israel it must "put a premium on civilian protection" while it fights Hamas.        President Biden is touting new infrastructure investments into high-speed rail systems. Biden spoke in Las Vegas on Friday where he praised several passenger rail projects funded through a new bipartisan infrastructure law. Projects include a high-speed rail service between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, which is projected to open in time for the 2028 Olympics in L.A.        A federal appeals court is upholding a gag order imposed on Donald Trump in his criminal election interference case in Washington, D.C. Trump and others in the case are now restricted from making public statements about witness or potential witnesses in the criminal proceeding. They're also prohibited from making statements about various parties affiliated with the case.        Hunter Biden is facing nine criminal charges in a federal tax case. Prosecutors accuse the president's son of living an extravagant lifestyle while failing to pay at least one-point-four million dollars in federal taxes between 2016 and 2019. The indictment claims he spent his money on drugs, escorts, luxury properties and exotic cars.        The International Olympic Committee will allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to complete in next year's Olympics in Paris. Athletes who qualify for their sport will participate as neutrals without flags. Athletes from Russia and Belarus have faced bans from international competitions after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.        The Patriots kicked off Week 14 with a 21-18 upset win over the Steelers on Thursday Night Football in Pittsburgh. Bailey Zappe passed for 240 yards, three touchdowns and an interception to help New England snap a five-game losing streak. In other Week 14 action, the Bills are trying to keep their playoff hopes alive as they visit the Chiefs in Kansas City. The 49ers look to keep pace in the NFC as they welcome the Seahawks to Santa Clara.
