Woonsocket Yard Waste Memo

Residents are reminded that curbside pick-up of yard waste (grass clippings, small branches, weeds, etc.) has ENDED. Curbside yard waste collection will resume in April 2021.

The yard waste drop-off site in Blackstone, MA, off Canal Street (North Smithfield) has also closed for the season. The site will re-open in April 2021.

Residents are reminded that it is illegal to throw yard waste in the household waste collection carts (trash and/or recycle carts). Carts that contain yard waste will not be serviced.

We have temporarily placed (until January 31, 2021) a dumpster at the Recycle Facility located at 943 River Street to assist Woonsocket residents that may have yard waste to still dispose of. It is accessible for FREE during normal business hours.

Questions can be directed to the Solid Waste Division at (401) 767-8880.
