All October at Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village, visitors can walk through a forest full of spooky jack-o-lanterns and haunting trivia questions. With so many over-the-top carved pumpkins, you won't find an event like this anywhere else!

Fans of comedy won't want to miss this twice-a-year event, happening October 9-13. Some of the standup world’s most beloved comedians will grace the stages of venues throughout Newport making audiences laugh out loud.

Northern Rhode Island's largest festival takes place October 11-14 at Woonsocket's WWII Memorial Park. Festival goers will enjoy carnival rides, live music, fun food, and a cozy atmosphere that will truly make them feel like fall has arrived.

Fans of mouthwatering cuisine, fine wine, and fall need to be at Newport Vineyards in Middletown from October 17-19. There will be a tour of the vineyard, a Harvest Brunch, and the 30th anniversary of the festival, with live music, tasty eats, and plenty of vino for all.

On Halloween Eve, October 30, leave the kids at home for this grown-up event, starring the sisters from the beloved '90s movie Hocus Pocus. This interactive musical comedy show features singing, magic, and even a photo op.

On October 5, we celebrate National Rhode Island Day. It's on this day that we honor our amazing state joining the Union on May 4, 1776.
