The Trump administration will partially fund SNAP food-assistance benefits as the federal government shutdown continues. California's top elections official says DOJ lawyers can watch California's special election, but that's it. A former Minneapolis police officer convicted in the George Floyd murder case is now out of prison. Tou Thao [[ Too-Tao ]] was released yesterday after serving concurrent federal sentences for violating Floyd's civil rights and aiding and abetting manslaughter. He'll still be under state and federal supervision for the next two years. A new report says America's richest billionaires are getting even richer. According to Oxfam America, the nation's top ten billionaires added nearly 700 billion dollars to their net worth over the past year, pushing their total wealth to two-and-a-half trillion. Game 7 of the World Series delivered baseball's biggest TV audience in nearly 10 years. Preliminary Nielsen numbers show nearly 26 million people watched the Dodgers win their second straight title Saturday, the most since a Game 7 back in 2017. Overall, the series averaged just under 15 million viewers per game.
