Museum of Work & Culture Participating in Nickelodeon’s Our World: Worldwide Day of Play with Free Open House

 

Global play event presented by Nickelodeon and the Association of Children’s Museums

 

 

 

WOONSOCKET, R.I. – The Museum of Work & Culture, a Rhode Island Historical Society museum, announces its participation in Our World: Worldwide Day of Play on September 27, 2025. As a day dedicated to joyful learning through play, this event focuses on getting kids and their families up, out, and experiencing the magic of play.

 

 

 

The Museum of Work and Culture will participate by hosting a free open house on Saturday, September 27, focused on play. This event features Museum Scavenger Hunts, a Choose Your Own Adventure Tour, an Escape the Mill Obstacle Course, and more! Children and families can participate in this event free of charge by mentioning they are there for the Worldwide Day of Play at the front desk. 

 

 

 

Our World: Worldwide Day of Play is part of Nickelodeon’s Our World global initiative to inspire kids and provide them with tools to activate their individual and collective agency. As part of a network of over 1,450 museums participating in Museums for All, a national access initiative that is managed by the Association of Children’s Museums, the Museum of Work and Culture is a vital collaborator in the Our World: Worldwide Day of Play.
