Woonsocket Board of Canvassers Receives Notice of Recount Request; Delivers Ballots to RI Board of Elections

 

The Woonsocket Board of Canvassers have been notified of a request for a recount in the office of Woonsocket City Council. The formal request was received by the Rhode Island Board of Elections from council candidate Shahbaz Raja.

The Woonsocket Board of Canvassers have been directed to deliver all voted ballots to the RI Board of Elections. The voted ballots were delivered to the Board of Elections at 2000 Plainfield Pike, Cranston RI for the recount to be held on Friday, November 15th beginning after 9:00AM and until completed. The recount will be conducted in open session of a meeting held by the RI Board of Elections and all are welcome to attend.

Results of the recount will be announced after all ballots have been tabulated and recorded on Friday, November 15th. A notice of the meeting can be found by visiting https://opengov.sos.ri.gov/openmeetings.

The Bexar [[ bear ]] County Sheriff's Office in south Texas says a body was found by search crews a few hundred yards away from her home, in an area of tall grass. Investigators say that the body that was found matched Camila's clothing description, but have not yet positively identified it to be her.        John F. Kennedy's grandaughter has died. Tatiana Schlossberg died from cancer at the age of 35 according to statement released from The JFK Library Foundation that was signed by her family. She was the daughter of Kennedy's daughter, Caroline Kennedy, and is survived by her husband, George Moran, their young son and daughter.        New laws are set to go into effect tomorrow in states across the U.S. New social media limits for minors go into effect for Virginia, Minnesota and North Carolina. In California, there's a new law banning ICE agents from covering their faces while on duty. New York, Illinois, and Delaware have new laws that would allow terminally ill patients to end their lives with medical assistance.        The College Football Playoff picks back up this evening. Number ten Miami will take on number two Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, Texas. The winner will take on the victor of tomorrow's Sugar Bowl in New Orleans between number six Ole Miss and number three Georgia.
