MILLING NOTICE

 

 

 

 

Starting Monday October 28, 2024, T. Miozzi Paving will begin milling Tifft Road, Laurel Lane, Grange Road and Rocky Hill Rd. The work will be done between 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. The paving crews are approximately one and half weeks out from today.

 

To help expedite this work we respectfully request that you move all vehicles off these roads.   There will be limited access to this area for the entire time Miozzi is working on these roadways. The only traffic will be for emergencies.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may create, but with your patience and cooperation we can get this work completed as quickly as possible. There will be flaggers assigned to this project.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey [[ fry ]] is calling for state investigators to step in after a deadly ICE shooting sparked protests across the city. Frey says there is a deep mistrust of federal agencies, accusing officials of pushing a narrative instead of the truth. Federal authorities say 37-year-old Renee Good tried to harm an agent with her vehicle, while Democratic leaders say video evidence contradicts that claim.        President Trump is again pushing for the U.S. to take control of Greenland, arguing China and Russia will move in if America does not. Trump claims the island's defense under Denmark amounts to "two dog sleds" and says Russian and Chinese naval vessels are already active nearby. Greenland's semi-autonomous leaders have firmly rejected the idea of being absorbed into the United States.        The Justice Department has issued a subpoena to the Federal Reserve, warning of a possible criminal indictment. Fed Chair Jerome Powell said the potential indictment comes from his June Senate testimony concerning renovations to Federal Reserve office buildings. He characterized the subpoenas as the latest attempt to influence the Fed and its interest-rate decisions.        The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments today in a high-stakes case over whether oil companies can be held liable for damage to Louisiana's coastline. Chevron is challenging a 745-million-dollar state court judgment, arguing the case belongs in federal court because of its World War Two federal fuel contracts. The oil industry warns a ruling against Chevron could have broader impacts on U.S. energy production.        Emmy-winning actor and director Timothy Busfield is facing child sex abuse charges after an arrest warrant was issued in Albuquerque. Court documents allege the abuse involved twin brothers between 2022 and 2024 and was reported by a physician. Busfield had worked with the accusers on the TV series The Cleaning Lady, and his wife, actress Melissa Gilbert, has since deleted her Instagram account.        Grateful Dead co-founder Bob Weir has died at age 78 after a lung issue, according to his family. Weir helped launch the legendary band after meeting Jerry Garcia as a teenager and sang on classics like "Truckin'."
