Rep. Alzate issues statement on possible Hasbro move out of Pawtucket

STATE HOUSE – Rep. Karen Alzate, chairwoman of the House Special Legislation Committee, is issuing the following statement concerning the recent news that Hasbro is considering moving its operations out of Pawtucket:

“As a member of the Pawtucket delegation in the General Assembly and a proud life-long resident of Pawtucket, the recent news that Hasbro is considering leaving our city is disappointing.  Since its inception, Hasbro continues to be a valued and storied member of our community and the good they have done for the people of Pawtucket and the state is immeasurable.  I will enthusiastically work with all parties, including General Assembly leadership, Mayor Grebien, Governor McKee and the Hasbro administration, to ensure that Hasbro remains a loved and invaluable part of Pawtucket’s family for many more years to come,” said Chairwoman Alzate (D-Dist. 60, Pawtucket, Central Falls).
