Forecasters say the New Year's Eve Ball Drop in New York's Times Square could be the coldest since 2017. It's already 2026 in the New Zealand time zone. Forecasters say by the time the new year reaches the U.S. East Coast, the temperature in Manhattan will be about 30 degrees, and wind chill factors could make it feel at least ten degrees colder.
