The plan was canceled Sunday after residents and local officials in Calhoun County raised concerns. About 300 U.S. citizens were evacuated off the cruise ship last week.        A nine-year-old boy says he wants to one day be like Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg [[ boot-edge-edge ]] one day, but first he had to ask for some help. At a rally in Denver Saturday, Zachary Ro submitted a question to the former South Bend, Indiana mayor: "Would you help me tell the world I'm gay, too?" Buttiegieg, himself openly gay, brought Zachary on stage and said he didn't think the boy needed much help, especially after he had just come out publicly before thousands of people.       A California man is alive after driving his Jeep off a six-story parking garage and onto a McDonald's. The Santa Monica Police Department says the 20-year-old driver suffered injuries but was able to speak with officers. Firefighters had to extricate him from the Jeep, and took him to a local hospital in critical condition.        Nine young singers from across the U.S. are on their way to Hollywood after passing Sunday's auditions on American Idol.
