Autumnfest Seeks Nominations for 2019 Grand Marshall Selection

Woonsocket – Garrett Mancieri, Autumnfest General Chairman states that Autumnfest will be celebrating its 41st year in 2019.  The selection process for the 2019 Autumnfest Grand Marshall has begun and the Steering Committee are planning to announce its selection in May.  The Grand Marshall will be a part of all events at Autumnfest including riding in a vehicle of their choice in the first division of the parade on Columbus Day and also the very fun Grand Marshall Gala that will be held on September 28th, 2019 at Savini's Pomodoro Italian Kitchen & Bar.

The criteria for the Autumnfest Grand Marshall apply to individual/individuals who have, without compensation, given of themselves above and beyond for the betterment of the community and in some way to Autumnfest.  In short, their efforts and contribution must have come from the heart.

General Chairman Garrett Mancieri says, "In my opinion, since we are the largest festival in Northern Rhode Island, being selected as the Grand Marshall for Autumnfest is the highest honor that you can achieve in this community.  Often times, these people are the doers, the people who go beyond the norm to help others, and the people who give support for others without seeking the credit or recognition."  He goes on to say, "Those are the people that we are seeking for this nomination to give an individual or individuals this prominent award which really comes from the community."  This is your chance to help the Autumnfest Steering Committee in their search for the next Grand Marshall.  Application submission deadline for Autumnfest Grand Marshall is April 30, 2019.

The Grand Marshall’s selection form can be found on the Autumnfest Website (www.autumnfest.org) under Grand Marshall tab.  Please send in your nominations to Tyler Martin (This email address is being protected from spambots.
