On Monday March 12th 2018 detectives assigned to the Woonsocket Police Vice Unit executed a search warrant at176 Morin Heights Blvd. As a result of the warrant, Radames Roman Morales, age 23 of Woonsocket, was taken into custody.  Roman Morales was wanted as part of a month long investigation in which he is alleged to have sold small amounts of narcotics on various dates. 

 

Seized during the search of the apartment was thirty three (33) grams of cocaine, thirty one (31) grams of fentanyl, four (4) suboxone strips, a fully loaded thirty eight caliber revolver, additional ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and six hundred three ($603.00) dollars in cash.

 

Roman Morales is facing a total of ten (10) charges as a result of the investigation and arrest including;

Possession of cocaine 1 ounce to 1 kilogram

Possession of fentanyl 1 ounce to 1 kilogram

Maintaining a common narcotics nuisance

Possession of a firearm during the delivery and or intended delivery of a controlled substance. 

 

Roman Morales is being held at the ACI pending a bail hearing scheduled March 27th.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

   

The government shutdown is hitting Day 23. The Senate fell short for the 12th time Wednesday on a vote to end the shutdown, even with three Democrats joining Republicans in support. Oregon Democrat Jeff Merkley staged a 22-hour protest speech, calling President Trump's actions "the biggest threat to our republic since the Civil War," while House Speaker Mike Johnson blamed Democrats for prolonging the shutdown.        The entire East Wing of the White House is being demolished to make room for President Trump's new ballroom. Trump said Wednesday he was tearing down the entire East Wing to make space for his 90-thousand-square-foot ballroom. He downplayed the significance of tearing down the historic structure that held the first lady's office, calling it a "very small building" that "was never thought of as being much."        A man accused of threatening to kill House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is set to appear in court today. According to authorities, 34-year-old Christopher Moynihan said he planned to "eliminate" the New York Democrat, prompting an FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force investigation. Moynihan previously pleaded guilty to being involved in the January 6th Capitol riot, served 21 months in prison, and was later pardoned by President Trump.        Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrives in Israel today, a day after criticizing the country's plan to annex the West Bank. He warns the move could threaten the U.S.-backed ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. Rubio will meet with officials alongside Vice President Vance, who is already in Israel working to maintain the truce.        OpenAI is seeking the names of everyone who attended a California teen's memorial service. The company may issue subpoenas in the case of 16-year-old Adam Raine, who died by suicide. His family sued OpenAI, claiming he took his own life after hundreds of online chats with ChatGPT.        Broadway faces a major shutdown today as nearly all theaters may go dark. About 12-hundred musicians are threatening to strike over pay, health benefits, and job security after contract talks stalled. A federal mediator tried to resolve the dispute Wednesday, but no deal has been reached, putting the city at risk of losing nearly nine-million dollars a day in revenue.
