Woonsocket Board of Canvassers Receives Notice of Recount Request; Delivers Ballots to RI Board of Elections

 

The Woonsocket Board of Canvassers have been notified of a request for a recount in the office of Woonsocket City Council. The formal request was received by the Rhode Island Board of Elections from council candidate Shahbaz Raja.

The Woonsocket Board of Canvassers have been directed to deliver all voted ballots to the RI Board of Elections. The voted ballots were delivered to the Board of Elections at 2000 Plainfield Pike, Cranston RI for the recount to be held on Friday, November 15th beginning after 9:00AM and until completed. The recount will be conducted in open session of a meeting held by the RI Board of Elections and all are welcome to attend.

Results of the recount will be announced after all ballots have been tabulated and recorded on Friday, November 15th. A notice of the meeting can be found by visiting https://opengov.sos.ri.gov/openmeetings.

Judge Sara Ellis ordered U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commander Gregory Bovino to appear and answer questions about the use of chemical agents on civilian protesters.        The Kansas City Chief's snapped up a 28-7 victory over the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football. Kansas City is now five-and-three overall. The Commanders will try to break their losing streak when they host the Seahawks on Sunday.        Demi Lovato will head out on tour for the first time since 2022 next year. The singer announced her It's Not That Deep Tour will kick off on April 8th in Charlotte. The 23-date tour will also take her to cities like Nashville, Boston, New York, Los Angeles and Houston.
