Is Russia still targeting U.S. elections? President Trump says "no." Trump said that during a White House Cabinet meeting today. His one-word response to a reporter's question contradicts his own director of national intelligence. In a statement this week, Dan Coats noted Russia's "ongoing, pervasive efforts to undermine our democracy." Meantime, Trump again argued that there has never been a president as tough on Russia as he is.        A Russian woman accused of being a spy for Moscow is due in federal court in Washington, DC today. A grand jury indicted Maria Butina yesterday on charges of acting as an agent of the Russian government. Butina was arrested over the weekend.        Members of the Thai youth soccer team who were trapped in a cave for two weeks are being released from the hospital. After being discharged today, the boys and their coach appeared in a press conference with the Thai Navy SEALs who aided in the rescue mission. They claim they went in the cave because they had never seen the inside of one before, and when it was time to leave it had already flooded.        Natural Disasters in the U.S. caused an estimated 370-billion-dollars in damages. During a House hearing on disaster recovery from 2017 hurricane season and the outlook for this year, Pennsylvania Republican Lou Barletta said there were ten Atlantic hurricanes in 2017 that affected areas near the Gulf of Mexico. Barletta added last year was one of the worst wildfire seasons on record, with over 66-thousand wildfires burning nearly ten-million acres of land.        A killer who claimed he murdered a man due to "homosexual panic" has been executed by the state of Ohio. Robert Van Hook was put to death this morning at Ohio's death house in Lucasville for the 1985 murder of David Self. Van Hook murdered Self after meeting him at a gay bar, and prosecutors argued Van Hook previously lured gay men to apartments to rob them. Van Hook was served a final meal of double cheeseburgers, fries, cheesecake and a milkshake yesterday.       Get ready to chow down because today is National Hot Dog Day. Restaurants and convenience stores across the country will be offering juicy hot dog deals today. Meanwhile, the experts at JJ's Red Hots have released a survey of the most popular hot dog condiments. The survey says the five favorite frankfurter toppings are mustard, chili, relish, sauerkraut and onions.
