The Pentagon is extending its condolences for families of the American soldiers who died in a helicopter crash in Kentucky. The Pentagon Press Secretary said nine U.S. Army soldiers died when two Blackhawk helicopters crashed last night. The helicopters were going through planned training flight operations when the incident occurred. 
Parents and students are protesting for stricter gun laws at Tennessee's State Capitol. After the latest mass shooting at Nashville's Covenant School this week, hundreds of parents are joining community groups to urge legislators to act and stop future incidents from happening. Their goal is to protest before Tennessee's House Floor session for common sense gun laws. A Federal Judge in Texas says insurers no longer need to provide certain preventative care services for free. The judge decided those Affordable Care Act mandates can't be enforced nationwide. That includes some cancer and heart screenings, STI testing and programs to quit smoking. The Capitol rioter known as the "QAnon Shaman" is being released from federal prison early and going to a halfway house. Jacob Chansley was moved to "community confinement," according to the Bureau of Prisons. His attorney said Chansley served eleven months in solitary before his sentencing followed by 16 months of his sentence. Rapper Tory Lanez is requesting a new trial after a jury found him guilty of shooting Megan the Stallion in the feet in 2020. Lanez's attorneys allege the judge in the case "erroneously allowed" jurors to view an Instagram post from Lanez's account that citied Meg's former best friend Kesley Harris was not the shooter in the incident. The rapper was convicted of one felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, amongst other charges. The skull of a sabertooth cat has been found in southwest Iowa. That means for the first time researchers now know the animal once lived in the state. Researchers say the well preserved sabertooth skull was found in Page County, and lived about 12 to 13-thousand years ago.
