The shooting that unfolded just blocks from the White House on Wednesday has now claimed the life a member of the National Guard. President Trump confirmed the death of Sarah Beckstrom on Thanksgiving Day, calling her "outstanding in every single way." The other soldier shot in the incident remains hospitalized in critical condition. The suspect, an Afghan national who worked with the U.S. to fight the Taliban, is hospitalized as well.     President Trump says that the U.S. could "very soon" take action against alleged Venezuelan drug traffickers on land, expanding operations that have so far focused on the Caribbean Sea. Trump spoke Thursday as part of Thanksgiving remarks to troops around the world, saying carrying out those actions on land would actually be far easier.     Crowds will be out in force this Black Friday looking for deals. But sales growth is expected to be slow because of higher prices.     Post Malone paid tribute to the late Marshawn Kneeland during his halftime performance at the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game. The Cowboys played the Kansas City Chiefs at AT&T Stadium with Texas native Post Malone as their halftime performer. The pop star wore Kneeland's number 94 on his jacket during his performance, and gave him a shout out after his set. The Cowboys defensive end died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound earlier this month at the age of 24.     The Trump Administration is canceling funding for World AIDS Day. The day has been observed on December 1st of each year since 1988 to raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic and to mourn those who have died. The "New York Times" says earlier this month, the State Department instructed its employees not to use federal funding to commemorate the day as part of a new federal policy to "refrain from messaging" on commemorative days, which includes publicly promoting World AIDS Day.     "Zootopia 2" is off to a huge start at the box office. The Disney animated film brought in a near-record 39-and-a-half-million in its opening day Wednesday. That's the third-best opening day ever for a Disney animated film behind "Moana 2" and "Frozen 2."
