Stocks are down on Wall Street amid fears of a global trade war. Stocks plunged in a broad sell-off after President Trump threatened allies with escalating tariffs over Greenland. European leaders called the threats "unacceptable" and are reportedly weighing countermeasures. At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 870 points to 48-488. The S&P 500 lost 143 points to 67-96. The Nasdaq dropped 561 points to 22-954.        The Justice Department has subpoenaed Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey. That's according to multiple reports. The subpoenas are centered on an investigation into allegedly obstructing federal officers amid anti-ICE protests in the state.        President Trump is hopeful something can be worked out over Greenland. Trump addressed reporters inside the White House Press Room on Tuesday, and said there are several meetings coming up with European leaders about Greenland at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The President has said the U.S. "needs Greenland" for national security and something must be done before Russia or China move in.        Republican Congresswoman Julia Letlow has launched a Senate campaign in Louisiana. Letlow released a two-minute launch ad on Tuesday and said, "Louisiana deserves conservative champions, leaders who will not flinch." Her campaign will come as a primary challenge to Senator Bill Cassidy, who confirmed on X that Letlow called him to inform him of her candidacy.        Closing arguments begin tomorrow in the first trial connected to the slow police response to the mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. Former Uvalde school officer Adrian Gonzales is accused of failing to engage the gunman after arriving at Robb Elementary School during the massacre on May 24th, 2022. Nineteen children and two teachers were killed.        The NBA has revealed the schedule for the 2026 Finals. The league announced the best-of-seven series is set to begin Wednesday, June 3rd. All games are set to be televised on ABC with tip-off at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
