Museum of Work & Culture Preservation Foundation to How Virtual Halloween Fundraising Bash

 

WOONSOCKET, R.I. – The Museum of Work & Culture Preservation Foundation will host an All Hallows’s Revel: A Halloween Virtual Fundraising Bash on Saturday, October 24 at 6pm on Zoom.

 

The event promises to be an evening of strange spectacles, featuring a Revel from 6-8pm, as well as an afterparty from 8-10pm. Entertainment will include a presentation and Q&A with paranormal investigator Paul Eno, a complete tour of this year's Roger William's Park's Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular, musical performances by Beardogz, a costume contest with a surprise celebrity judge, and much much more! The Afterparty will also feature tarot reader David Erwin and other surprise entertainment.

 

Trickster tickets are $20 and include a Zoom invitation to the revel and a pre-emailed party packet with recipes, games, printout props and more. Treaters tickets are $40 and include the Trickster package plus the afterparty and a cauldron of bites and brews, featuring a cocktail, charcuterie and cheese for two to be picked curbside at the Museum.

 

All guests may also request private Zoom breakout rooms for themselves and their friends so they can enjoy the evening's program together while socially distancing.

Jury selection will continue tomorrow in Donald Trump's historic hush money trial. Baldwin has also been charged with involuntary manslaughter in Hutchins' death, and is scheduled to head to trial in July.       It's crunch time for taxpayers and the IRS is making it easier for some last minute-filers ahead of tonight's deadline. The agency released an update for Direct File, its free tax filing program. The update allows taxpayers in a dozen states to import the previous year's information from the IRS in order to easily validate the current year's return.       Record labels have come to an agreement with the Screen Actors Guild on protections for artists from the use of AI. SAG-AFTRA announced Friday that the agreement with major labels follows protections the union and the Writers Guild of America reached with production studios last year after their respective strikes. They included landmark protections around using artificial intelligence as the evolving technology poses increasing threats to the creative workforce.        The Indiana Fever have selected Caitlin Clark with the number one pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. The former Iowa guard set numerous records during her career with the Hawkeyes. In her senior season, Clark became the all-time NCAA Division One men's and women's scoring leader.
