Museum of Work & Culture Preservation Foundation to How Virtual Halloween Fundraising Bash

 

WOONSOCKET, R.I. – The Museum of Work & Culture Preservation Foundation will host an All Hallows’s Revel: A Halloween Virtual Fundraising Bash on Saturday, October 24 at 6pm on Zoom.

 

The event promises to be an evening of strange spectacles, featuring a Revel from 6-8pm, as well as an afterparty from 8-10pm. Entertainment will include a presentation and Q&A with paranormal investigator Paul Eno, a complete tour of this year's Roger William's Park's Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular, musical performances by Beardogz, a costume contest with a surprise celebrity judge, and much much more! The Afterparty will also feature tarot reader David Erwin and other surprise entertainment.

 

Trickster tickets are $20 and include a Zoom invitation to the revel and a pre-emailed party packet with recipes, games, printout props and more. Treaters tickets are $40 and include the Trickster package plus the afterparty and a cauldron of bites and brews, featuring a cocktail, charcuterie and cheese for two to be picked curbside at the Museum.

 

All guests may also request private Zoom breakout rooms for themselves and their friends so they can enjoy the evening's program together while socially distancing.

President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are set to meet in Hungary in the coming weeks. The president announced the plans in a Truth Social post following a call with the Russian leader today. Trump said he had a "very productive" conversation with Putin. The call took place a day before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to meet with Trump at the White House.        The Senate has voted down for the tenth time the House GOP's spending bill that would end the government shutdown. The Senate is now holding a procedural vote on a measure to fund the Department of War. That vote will show if Democrats want to shoot down any regular legislation to get discussions started on an extension of Obamacare subsidies. The shutdown is now in Day 16.        President Trump's former national security adviser John Bolton could be indicted later today. Multiple reports say the Justice Department will ask the grand jury to indict Bolton over his handling of classified documents. His Maryland home and DC office were searched by FBI agents in August. Bolton became a strong critic of President Trump after he left the administration in 2019.        President Trump will unveil a proposal to make in vitro fertilization more accessible. That's according to multiple reports. Trump is set to make the announcement in the Oval Office this afternoon alongside Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.        DoorDash is using Waymo's self-driving cars for deliveries. It's currently being tested in the Metro Phoenix area until the end of the year with a larger rollout expected in the future. This comes after DoorDash announced it's own robot delivery service, called Dot, late last month. That's also currently in its testing phase.        The MLB Postseason playoff bracket has all four remaining teams in action tonight. First, the Los Angeles Dodgers will host the Milwaukee Brewers for game three of the NLCS. The Dodgers hold a two-to-nothing series lead. Then the Seattle Mariners will take on the Toronto Blue Jays for game four of the ALCS. The Mariners lead the series two games to one.
