Joseph Felix (age 41)

East Providence, RI

On September 30, 2020, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Joseph Felix with one count of first-degree sexual assault. 

 

The alleged act occurred in the city of Cranston sometime between April 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015. The Rhode Island State Police conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on October 21, 2020 in Providence County Superior Court.

 

 

Brian Silva (age 32)

Warwick, RI

On September 30, 2020, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Brian Silva with one count of first-degree child molestation, one count of second-degree child molestation, and one count of simple assault and battery. 

 

The alleged acts occurred in the city of Pawtucket sometime between June 30, 2016 and June 30, 2018. The Pawtucket Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on October 21, 2020 in Providence County Superior Court.

 

 

Paul Raposo (age 26)

Woonsocket, RI

On September 30, 2020, the Statewide Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Paul Raposo with one count of murder; one count of discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence, resulting in death; one count of carrying a pistol without a license; one count of failing to report a death; and one count of firing in a compact area.

 

The alleged acts occurred in the city of Woonsocket sometime on June 26, 2020. The Woonsocket Police Department conducted the investigation.

 

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on October 14, 2020 in Providence County Superior Court. He is currently being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI).

The NBA says it's cooperating with a federal investigation into illegal gambling and betting involving current and former players and coaches. Miami Heat player Terry Rozier and former coach and player Damon Jones are accused of using inside information to make wagers on games, while Portland Trailblazers coach Chauncey Billups was arrested in connection with a poker scheme involving the New York mob. More than 30 people are facing charges in connection with the cases.        Federal agents won't be sent to San Francisco. In a post on Truth Social, President Trump said his administration was getting ready to "surge" San Francisco with agents to crackdown on crime and immigration, but friends in the area asked him to not move forward with it. They told him that Mayor Daniel Lurie is making progress in the city and Trump added he spoke to the Mayor last night, who asked him to give him a chance to "turn it around."        A GOP-bill that would pay some essential federal workers during the government shutdown has been voted down by the Senate. The bill that would pay air traffic controllers, military members, border patrol agents and others failed by a vote of 54 to 45 along party lines. The shutdown is now in it's 23rd day.        President Trump will soon update his administration's crackdown on crime and immigration. The roundtable event will tout the Homeland Security Task Forces' efforts to investigate drug cartels and human trafficking in the U.S. Trump is set to be joined by Attorney General Pam Bondi, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and FBI Director Kash Patel.        An Illinois state senator running to be the next governor has lost four family members in a helicopter crash. Darren Bailey's son, daugher-in-law, and two grandchildren were all killed. The crash happened last night in Montana, only a week after Bailey announced that he was making a second run for governor.        Iron Maiden will return to North America next summer. The heavy metal legend's Run For Your Lives Tour will start in Canada before heading to Harrison, New Jersey on September 5th. They'll also hit cities like Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles before wrapping up on September 29th in San Antonio.
