Yesterday’s storm has obviously created a substantial amount of fallen trees and limbs. To assist homeowners with the need to manage that we are adding time to the hours that our DPW yard is open to accept yard waste. DPW will be open this Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. DPW will also be arranging another round of curb side yard waste pick up for next week. Since Monday is a holiday, trash and recycling will be delayed by a day. DPW personnel and equipment will do the curbside pickup on Tuesday through Saturday. We hope this helps all to manage the mess that Isaias delivered.

Jimmy Kimmel hosted the ceremony held virtually because of the coronavirus.       Tropical Storm Beta is threatening to bring heavy rains to Texas where water rescue teams are on standby. The storm packing maximum sustained winds of 60 miles-an-hour is expected to make landfall late today or early Tuesday between Galveston and Corpus Christi.        The woman accused of sending a poisoned letter ricin to President Trump is under arrest. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials arrested her at the Peace Bridge that connects Buffalo, New York and Canada. The letter was intercepted last week before it ever reached the White House.        More deadly gun violence in Chicago this weekend. By last night, nearly 40 people had been shot in the city over the weekend, including six who were killed.        The Seahawks are 2-0 after holding on to beat the Patriots, 35-30 on Sunday Night Football. Seattle's Russell Wilson threw five touchdown passes and the Seahawks stopped New England quarterback Cam Newton on the one-yard line as the game ended. The Pats fall to 1-1.
