On Friday February 14th the regular Teen Time event at the Woonsocket Harris Public Library will be canceled. The week after that, during school vacation there will be two sessions of Teen Time, one on Tuesday the 18th and the other on Friday the 21st. Both will be at the normal time of 2:00 to 4:30 and will be open to anyone in Middle School or High School. Teen Time is a great place for kids to hang out, with snacks, games and a chance to use the Playstation VR or the Wii.

Also during school vacation week, the library will present the return of Jedi Academy on Thursday February 20th at 2:30. This is a chance for teens to learn the secrets of lightsaber combat from Teen Librarian Ed Fuqua, who has over ten years of stage combat experience. Everyone will have a chance to make their own safe lightsaber and spar with the rest of the class. This has always been a popular program at the library, and we are pleased to have it back at a time when Star Wars popularity has reached its peak.

In a phone interview with NBC News, Trump was asked if the U.S. would use force to seize the Danish territory, to which he said "no comment." Over the weekend, the President said he would put ten-percent tariffs in place on Denmark and other European countries until a deal was reached for the U.S. to get Greenland.        The Supreme Court is set to hear arguments this week on whether states have the right to ban guns on private property that's open to the public. At the center of Tuesday's case is a Hawaii law that does just that, unless a gun owner has specific permission from the property owner. Similar laws are in effect in California, Maryland, New York, and New Jersey.        Three high-ranking Catholic cardinals are pushing back on the United States' foreign policy. The archbishops of Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Newark, N.J. issued a joint statement reiterating Pope Leo's remarks to the Vatican calling for a return to "a diplomacy that promotes dialogue." The cardinals argued against peace being "sought through weapons as a condition for asserting one's own dominion."        A new option will be available for travelers without a state issued REAL ID. TSA ConfirmID will roll out an optional process on February 1st seeking "biographic and/or biometric information" to confirm a traveler's identity and that they are not on a Secure Flight watch list. The agency recommends completing the optional TSA ConfirmID process before arriving at the airport and there will be a 45-dollar fee meant "to cover verification of an insufficient ID."        A national champion will be crowned tonight in Miami. The top-ranked Indiana Hoosiers are set to face off against the Miami Hurricanes at Hard Rock Stadium. President Trump is scheduled to attend the game, which is set to kickoff at 7:30 Eastern.
